May Favourites!

Here's what i've been loving this Month!

Collection Lip Liner in '1- Nude Pink' & Seventeen Mirrorshine Lipstick 'Beehive'
I've been in love with the seventeen lip stick for quite some time now, but it looks so nice combined with the collection lipliner and has very much been my favourite 'my lips but better' look atm. They are almost the exact shade and they blend so well.

Colour Club Nail Lacquer '1066 Barely There' Continuing with the nude theme, I adore this shade of nail varnish. I received this in my April Glossybox, and although you need a good 2/3 coats to get decent coverage on your nails it has excellent staying power and hardly chips at all.
I've been loving the Nails inc Matte top Coat to use over the top of it too!

My next favouriet for this month is Cocoa Butter Vaseline. I used to be obsessed with this years ago, and have recently rediscovered my love for it. I love all Vaseline lip products anyway, and I do think they are the best for rehydrating dry lips but the cocoa butter one is so tasty and smells incredible.

Lastly, I have not taken off this ring from Keep it Bright. The thing I love most is that it is open back, so you can adjust it to fit. As I have super tiny fingers I often struggle to find rings small enough to fit, so this is perfect. There are a few other rings in this style, but with different words stamped onto them, all with a positive message of some sort which I think is amazing!

What are everyone else's favourites this month?

High Street Haul! (Lush, Primark, Superdrug)

I took a little trip into Manchester on my day off and this is what I bought.

First I went to Primark as there were a few essentials that I needed.

Jacket: £10, Canvas Trainers: £6.
I've been wanting a new hoodie jacket for a while as mine is starting to get old and really worn. I really love this colour and they had one in grey as well which I was very tempted to get too!
I also needed some simple pumps/trainers for everyday, so I picked these white ones up for £6.

Nail Polish Twist Pot: £1
This I featured in my April Favourites and since then mine has nearly run out, so I had to repurchase!
I also picked up a set of 2 basic bras, one black one white, for just £8.

Next I ventured to Superdrug. I only went in for facewipes, but obviously couldn't resist getting a few treats for myself too!
The facewipes are just superdrug's own for Combination skin. I got 2 packets as they are on offer, buy on get one half price atm.
I then headed to the Rimmel counter where all of the 60 Seconds nail Polishes were on offer for £1.99.
I picked up two of the Rita Ora ones: shades 860 'Bestival Blue' and 878 'Roll in the Grass'.
I also scored a Lasting Finish lip pencil- Shade 061 Wine for £2.99.

Lastly, I stopped off in Lush (because I literally can't walk past that shop without going in!)
I picked up my favourite bubble Bar- Creamy Candy (£2.75) It smells like candyfloss and it's just amazing!
And also one that i've not tried before; the Brightside Bubble bar (£4.75) This is huge and will last for at least 4 or 5 baths as you only need a tiny bit to create a decent amount of bubbles.
My boyfriend also loves the karma soap bar! I think this piece was around £4 but they will cut up however much or little you want so the price varies.

Glossybox: May 2015

This month's box has the theme 'Summer's Calling' and is packed full of treats to get you prepared for the coming summer!
I got 3 full sized products and 2 samples in mine:

-MeMeMe 'Enchanted Eyes Dual Ended Wand' (Full size)
Blue eyeliner is going to be big this spring/summer, and this dual wand has two blue tones. I love MeMeMe as a brand, and this is such a smooth formula, it just glides on effortlessly. I'm not a big user of colour on the eyes, but I might try it along the bottom of my eyes, as opposed to my top lid and go for a more subtle look.

-Etre Belle 'Aloe Vera Ultra Moisturising Gel' (Full Size)
This is a cooling gel designed to hydrate and revitalise the skin. This sounds like it would be good to use if you ever get sunburnt as it contains aloe vera which is great for soothing the skin. And it's the perfect size to just keep in your handbag and take with you when you go out in the sun! I just think it's a bit too expensive though; at almost £16 for a 40ml tube!

-Zerreau 'Towel off Shampoo Foam'
Now this i'm excited to use! Probably my favourite item from this month's box.
I find washing my hair such a chore, and am always testing the waters to see how long I can go without washing it so this I will definitely get use out of!

-SASS 'Intimate Perfect Skin Concentrate'
This formula soothes the skin and reduces hair regrowth while exfoliating to help eradicate ingrowing hairs.
This is the first i've seen of anything like this so i'm quite looking forward to trying it out.

-Collection Cosmetics Field Day Lipstick (Full Size)
I received shade 2-Tulip, which is a lovely light summery pink. I only own a couple of Collection Lipsticks and I don't have anything in this shade, so I was quite pleased to get this. I also love the packaging, they've really come far with their branding, I didn't even know it was a Collection lipstick at first!

Anyone else get the May Glossybox? What did you think?

New House! (Homeware Haul)

I've recently moved house, and its'a taken a while but I have finally got it nearly all straight and feeling like a home! For a couple of months before the move, I was picking up little bits and pieces whenever I saw them and now i'm all moved in and settled, I thought i'd share a few of my favourite things I have around my house!
Vase: Next, Flowers: Wilko
Knitted Cat: My Mum.

I love having flowers around the house and artificial flowers are the best, because they always look good and don't die if you forget to water them! The ones I have are two different bunches I got for around £2 each and just mixed them together.

Fairy lights: Primark

I got these in the sales a while ago, but at the moment they have a load of  summery fairy lights which are so cute and some more similar to these.

Cushions: Scotty Dog: The Range, 'Hello': Primark, Orange: Matalan
White Back Pillows: Wilko
Orange Throw: The Range

Rug: The Range

I can't even tell you how much I love The Range. I would buy the whole shop if I could! They have such a wide array of beautiful things, and its so reasonably priced aswell. The rug pictured above was only £40 (which is bloody good for a rug, considering how big it is. And it's so soft to walk on!)

Armchair: The British Heart Foundation
Cushion: The Larch Tree

If you're on a budget, then places like The British Heart Foundation are brilliant for cheap furniture and appliances! It's always my 'go-to' place if I need anything that I know will cost me a lot to get brand new. And every now and again, you get some great little gems in there.

Clock/ Key Rack: Keep it Bright

I can't find this on the website, so i'm guessing it's sold out. But Keep it Bright is one of my favourite brands. Everything sold is hand-customised with a positive quote or image and it's just so uplifting.

Throw: Matalan

Hanging Heart: Etsy

I got this a few years ago actually, but I wanted to include it because I love it! Etsy is just fab and has pretty much you can ever think of on there!

Plaque: Manchester Christmas Markets

The last thing I wanted to share is this little hanging plague I bought at Christmas for a present for someone and then ended up going back and buying one for myself too!
I love the Christmas markets in Manchester, and every year they have stalls selling cute things like this and i'll for sure be going back this year to pick up some more!

Makeup Revolution Iconic Elements Palette.

I knew as soon as I saw this palette that I had to buy it! It's so similar to the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 palette but a fraction of the price! At just £4 it is an absolute bargain. It contains 12 shades: 11 matte and one shimmer. Personally I love this, as I much prefer a matte look.
The first 6 shades in the palette are really light beige/yellow shades, the first two I think are good to use as a base; for evening out the eyelids and covering up redness.

The next four shades are the ones I've probably been using the most, and they are the perfect colours to match my skin tone.

The last 4 shades are matte darker browns and a black. I'm not that into black on my eyes so I don't think that one will get much use, but the rest I think are all brilliant.

All the shades are really well pigmented, the last a long while (although it would be good to use primer) and so far I haven't had any problems with smudging.
If you are after the Urban Decay palette, but don't want to spend a lot of money (like me!) then this is a fantastic dupe, and you get a lot more for what you pay, in my opinion as well.

April Favourites!

I honestly can't believe it's May already! This year is going super quick! Make-up wise, I've been mostly loving the same things from March (the Rimmel foundation and Collection Mascara) but here's some other little beauty's I've been using a lot in April:

So Susan Lip Dome: This is my go-to lip product at the moment. Even though it seems more of an autumn shade, I've found it actually quite versatile and looks good with my spring wardrobe too! It's so easy to apply, it just glides on so well and lasts for a good while. I just love the texture of it, and it's such a nice shade for my skin tone.

The Body Shop 'Colour Crush' Eyeshadow (Shade 110 Sand By Me - Matte ): I usually prefer palettes when it comes to eyeshadow, I don't normally buy single ones but I got this a while ago and i've found i've been using it a lot recently as a good base for my eyes. I've also been using it for work (where I have to wear minimal make-up) just on it's own and have found it lifts my eyes and make's me look more awake!

KMS California Free Shape Quick Blow Dry Spray: I had a bit of a love/hate relationship with this at first! It's advertised as being able to half the time it takes for you to blow dry your hair, and I was a little skeptical...but I do actually feel a difference and it does take a lot less time now for me to dry my hair. Although, I think I was spraying a lit too much on my hair at first as it was felling a little sticky afterwards. But after a few weeks of using it, i've got to say i'm loving it. I hate drying my hair so anything to make it take less time i'm definitely getting on
board with!

P.S Love your Nails: Nail Polish Twist Pot: I got this from Primark, and it's probably the best £1 i've ever spent! It's so much easier to take my nail polish off with on of these, rather than cotton wool and solution. I though with it being from Primark and so cheap, it wouldn't be that good, but it's really exceeded my expectations, and i'll surely be repurchasing it.

On to Non-beauty Favourites for this Month:

Percy Jackson: I know this series of books was released sooo long ago but i've only recently got chance to read them and I have been literally addicted to them for the past couple of months! I've just finished the last in the series and I think the 4th and 5th books are by far the best. I've now started the follow on series 'Heroes of Olympus' and i'm liking it a lot so far!

The Foodie Market: Sour cream & Onion Crispbread mini's: These are just to die for! I picked them up from Aldi on a whim, and i'm so glad I did. I can't remember how much they are, but it's not much at all and it's quite a decent sized bag. They're just so handy to snack on and I can just take a handful to work with me. And they're good for you too, and contain natural ingredients.
