October Favourites!

Boots simply sensitive toner:
This is so good for everyday use, and makes my skin feel nice and soft. It's great for sensitive skin as it has no added fragrances or perfumes and the added aloe Vera gives my skin a lovely fresh feeling. It's so cheap aswell and something I will probably keep buying for a while.

Rimmel: Matte BB Cream:
I got this sample from my October Glossybox, and I loved it so much that I bought the full sized product!
For years I have only ever used Garnier BB creams, but this one has such a better texture and it goes on so smoothly.

Matte Barry M nail paint 'crush'
This is an old favourite that I bough around this time last year. It's my go-to colour for the autumn and it's such a nice shade. Probably one of my all time favourite nail varnishes.

Jamie T: Carry on the Grudge
Now for a non-beauty favourite. Jamie T is back after what seems like a Million years of absence, and his new album is just incredible. I've had it on reply for the entire month. My favourites are 'Turn on the Light', 'Rabbit Hole' and 'Zombie'

Review: Etre belle liplift peel

I got this lip exfoliater in my October Glossybox, and before I'd even used it I knew I'd love it.

My lips are always cracking and peeling and I absolutely hate it, especially now it's starting to get colder it's so much worse.
But after using this liplift peel just a few times i have noticed a real difference. It makes my lips feel a lot smoother and evens out the surface and I have noticed that my lipstick/lipgloss goes on a lot easier and looks better because of it.

I'll certainly be carrying this around in my pocket for the whole of the autumn/winter season. I just can't believe I've never used one of these before, where has it been my whole life?!

October 2014 Glossybox!

I have just received my October box, and wanted to share what's inside this month.

October's box includes:

-Nuxe Paris 24hr soothing and rehydrating fresh
-Ciate nail varnish (PP011-skinny jeans)
-Yves Rocher Quelques notes d'Amour perfume.
-Etre belle 'lip lift peeling mask'
-So Susan 'flutter' mascara
-Rimmel Matte BB Cream (shade light)

There's a really good mix of products I thinks and I'm looking forward to trying the lip peel as I've never used this before. Also I use BB cream a lot and so the rimmel matte cream I am excited to try out.

Autumn clothes/beauty haul!

Autumn is by far my favourite season, especially because I love all the autumnal colour schemes and the built up to Christmas! So I went on a few little shopping trips and this is what I came back with:

I got this shirt and jumper from Primark. I'm really loving mustard as a colour this season and I the style of this jumper is lovely, and the shirt I can wear just with a cardigan over and still keep warm or I can wear it under my jumper.

I also bought this orange jumper from New Look for £19.99 which goes well with my shirt As well as this little necklace I bought from Primark for about £2.

I then went to boots and bought the Barry M Natural Glow Palette 2 for £6.99. The shades in this are just gorgeous and that kind of price you can't go wrong!

Getting into the Christmas spirit already, I just couldn't resist this bath bomb that I found in a little shop in Cumbria called The Larch Tree and it smells like cinnamon and is just amazing!

And lastly: Lush.

As soon as I heard that Lush had launched their Halloween and Christmas range I knew I had to go! I only bought 2 things this time round, but I really had to restrain myself!
I got the 'Butterbear' Bath bomb and the 'Star Light, Star Bright' bath melt.
I'm sure I'll be buying a lot more in the coming weeks!

The Autumn Tag!

Autumn is by far my favourite time of year, and what better way to start the season than this tag I found from http://themeticulousperfections.blogspot.co.uk :)

1)What's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks or another coffee shop?
I'm really enjoying the salted caramel hot chocolate from Starbucks, or anywhere that sells anything with cinnamon in it I am all over!

2)Accessories - what do you opt for scarf, boots, gloves?
Scarf, without a doubt. Me and scarves have the biggest love affair; I pretty much wear them all year round as it is. I just love them.

3)Music - what's your favorite music to listen to during Autumn?
Every year around this time I always go back to my old favourites Rex Goudie and Jimmy Eat World. The tones in their music just always seems to blend perfectly with the dark nights and rainy weather.

4)Perfume - what's your favourite scent for this time of year?
Intimately- Victoria Beckham.

5)Candles - what scents will you be burning this season?
I'm already eyeing up the Halloween Yankee Candle, as well as anything pumpkin/cinnamon/apple spiced scented always makes me feel cosy and autumn-y

6)What do you love most about Autumn?
The beautiful colours in the leaves, conkers, comfort food, the crisp breezes, getting my jumpers and scarves out.

7)Favorite makeup look?
Gold and brown shades of eyeshadow, a bit of highlighter on the cheeks for a dewy look, matte bronzer for a slight contour and nude lips.

8)What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?
Getting the blankets out and curling up on the sofa/ in bed. And getting back into watching all the American TV shows that have just started new seasons.

September Favourites!

Beauty.

Josh Wood blending wand.
Recently I've been getting odd grey hairs (sob sob) but I feel like it's not enough to justify dying all of my hair just yet. I really love my natural colour and I want to try and keep it as long as possible.
I stumbled across this and it's actually a life saver! It's just a little brush that you apply small amounts of colorant to any stray greys you have. Jut blow dry it in and it will stay there until you wash it out. It's so quick and easy to use and I would deffo recommend it.

Skinpep Dark Circle Eraser
I got a sample of this in my September Glossybox and i just love it. It makes my under eyes feel so refreshed and I have seen a difference with my dark circles. Although it is rather pricey so I'm not sure if I'll purchased the full sized product just yet I will most likely purchase 5ml size again.

Rimmel Day 2 Night Mascara
This is such a good mascara. It makes my eyes look so big and defined and that's just the day wand. The extra little wand for 'night' adds more length as well. It's a really nice texture, glides in nicely and isn't gloopy at all. And it's really versatile and can be worn for every occasion.

Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder.
My second rimmel product of this month, and as you can tell by the photo I have been using it a lot! I've been using the 'translucent' shade as my skin is fairly pale and I like that it does not add extra colour to my skin. It's probably one of the longest lasting powders I've used in a while and it gives my face a nice silky feel and well as keeping the shine at bay.

Music

The Fray.
This band have been one of my favourites for about 10 years now. But their latest album 'Helios' I've had on repeat for weeks. I went to see them live in Manchester last week and they were absolutely phenomenal.

Books

The Night Circus.
My all time favourite book, I rekindled my love for it this month as I re-read it yet again. Re-reading your favourite books is the best thing because I always notice little things and details that i might not have caught before and Its just makes me fall in love with the story even more. I literally want to be lost in that world and be a part of it forever.
