Summer Skincare and Clothing Haul!

I took a trip to Boots this week, to pick up some essentials.

As I'm on my feet all day at work, I often get backache and achy legs, so i've invested in some Radox herbal Bath salts that are aimed to help soothe muscle aches and pains! I've never used these before so i'm looking forward to seeing if they help at all.

Next I picked up some Face wipes. I usually just go for whatever brand is on offer, and this time I chose the Johnson's Face Care wipes, for combination skin. I'll admit, I do use face wipes to remove my make-up most nights, which I know is SO bad but it's just easier..and i'm lazy! I regret nothing.

Since it is finally getting warmer now in the UK, I made the conscious effort to make sure I got some Lipbalm with a decent SPF for when it's sunny. I'm a big lover of Nivea lip balms, so naturally I went for their Sun Protect SPF30 balm.
I also got the E45 Intense Recovery hand cream, as my hands can dry up a lot in the summer.

I couldn't resist making a little trip to Lush while I was in town (as always!) but I restrained myself this time and only picked up one thing. My Boyfriend is always raving about their Soap bars, so I thought I'd try the 'Dirty' one, as it smells minty and fresh and I think it will be really nice to wake me up in the morning.

Next up: I realised I didn't own much in the way of summer clothes, especially tops so
I've bought a few things from Primark as well as online and thought I'd share what I got.

Latest in Beauty: The Glamour Summer Edit box!

I recently bought the Latest In Beauty Glamour Summer Edit Box. It is £17.99, which is slightly more than what I would pay for a beauty box, but it is totally worth it as you get over £90 worth of treats.
Here's what's inside:

The item I was most intrigued by is the Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals. This is the first ever self-tanning bronzer; just dust over your skin and a natural looking tan will appear! I've found this shade is rather dark, as I am pretty pale so I've been using it sparingly. The mini brush is also included, and it is so soft and lovely to use!

Next up is the Bourjois Paris Colour Boost Lip Crayon. 3 Shades available; I got 'Fuchsia Libre' a very vivid pink colour, which is a shade I don't usually go for, and I think I would have preferred the 'Proudly Naked'. Saying that, this is a very build-able crayon and just a thin layer creates a nice subtle burst of colour or you can layer up for a more intense look.

I love the shade of Nails Inc Gel Polish- Gel effect that I received; it makes me feel so summery. It dries fairly quickly and I was inpressed my how long-lasting it is.

Temporary Tattoos are a huge trend this summer, and the Seekers of The Sun Luxury Tattoos in this box are an exclusive, one off design. I haven't tried these yet, but there's a nice variety of designs on there and will be prefect for holidays and festivals.

Being a person with a permanent pale complexion and a tendency to burn easily, I am always stocked up on high factor sun cream! Eucerin Sun Care start their range at SPF30, and their products are tailored to suit specific skin types. I got the Transparent spray, which I love as I have how sticky the creams are and the sprays are so easy to use!

Balance Me is a brand I have used in the past and loved, so I was looking forward to using the Super Toning Body Polish. It uses natural ingredients and leaves my body feeling smooth and supple.

The Claudalie Divine Oil can be used on your hair, face and body and leaves you with a lovely summer glow. I've been using tiny amounts of it in my bath as it smells amazing and has a nice dreamy aroma.

Next, is the L'Occitane Shampoo and Conditioner. I haven't tried these yet as I am going away soon and will be needing travel shampoo's so I am saving them to use then! They contains essential oils and are designed to help nourish and restore your hair, helping it feel smooth and silky.

And Lastly, the Pixi Glow Tonic. I'm sure I don't need to go into detail about this, as this has been a firm favourite in the beauty market for some time now! I just love that I have a tiny 15ml bottle to take when i'm travelling, and It will be great to keep hold of so I can refill it from the larger bottle when this runs out as well.

Design Your Perfect Jewellery: Mink & Stone*

I love Jewellery, especially bracelets, but i'm so fussy and always have issues finding something that i'm truly in love with, and always think 'oh this bit could be changed' whenever I buy something new!
When I discovered Mink and Stone, I was so excited. It's basically a website that lets you create your own pieces from scratch, either a necklace (varying in lengths) or a bracelet.
The process is super simple and easy to use and allows you to create anything you like!

Firstly you head to the 'materials' section and you are greeted by an array of beads in all different colours, shapes and sizes. You can then add all your favourites to your 'tray' and save them for when you are designing your piece.
You are then able to design you piece, for me I chose the bracelet. As I have tiny wrists I always struggle to find bracelets that fit properly, and what I love most about this is that you can adjust the length of it so I knew I'd be getting one that fit me perfectly!

I chose quite a delicate design, with tiny beads. I opted for a silver and Sapphire Blue colour scheme, as I adore this combination.
(There is an 'Inspiration' page for you to browse designs that others have created which is well worth a look at if you need some ideas to get you started!)

When you have finished, you are then able to publish your design on the Inspiration page and continue to the checkout to purchase.
What I like is that if someone else buys your design then you get 10% of the profit in stones, which is a lovely idea.

You can find my design here if you wish to take a look!

I'm super pleased with my bracelet, and It's even nicer knowing that it's something I put the effort in to design myself. I think this website is great if you want to create personalised pieces for maybe birthdays or weddings ect.
